So two weeks ago an awesome club I co-coordinate at Orange Korner Arts kicked off a new season! The theme of this semester is actually based on my 100 Year Plan Idea! (Check out the 100 Year Plan post here: The 100 Year Plan.) The premise of the plan is that each of our lives are exceedingly valuable and we have a duty to lead in a way that would allow us to have 100 years of impact. I am so excited about what is happening there in Hunting Park and with the Bear Fruit club this year. Literally, the Lord is raising up a strong generation of young people and positioning them to change their community and the world. I consider myself to be extremely blessed to be a part of what He is doing there.
So I kicked off the introductory lesson which was focused around the stewardship of life. We juxtaposed the lives of Samson and Jesus Christ. Jesus’ life obviously has had incredible profound unreachable impact…while Samson simply missed the mark and satisfied his own selfish desires. We had an incredible time! Fun games, fun people, pizza, and most importantly Salvation! Here are some photos (courtesy of my lovely girlfriend Vanessa: check her awesome photography and travel blog out here.)
Peace & progress friends,
KD
